Underwolf by Tamefoxx

His fur matted in thick red blood from the battle that he had not won,
The victor pacing around him in a circle as he laughs and called it fun.
The pain that surged through his form the fear that struck his heart,
Losing wasn't what he planned but it wasn't the worst part.
Adrenaline poured through his veins when he started to think of her,
He was determined to stop this wolf and he hoped nothing would interfere.
The thoughts of losing her made him stand strong,
The pain that tried to bring him down he knew it was wrong.
The wolf stopped pacing and looked at him surprise tinged his eyes,
What once was the fear of loss turned into sheer despise.
The wolf turned from its stance and lunged at him again this time for the kill,
He stood completely motionless nothing could break his iron-bound will.
The wolf gripped his neck in the jaws that meant certain murder,
The blood that already matted his fur began to all refresh from veins sunder.
His death was quick and certain he took no final breath,
The victor did quickly with the other using only the claws not teeth.
While the wolf had him in a chokehold he ran his paw through its neck,
His instinct alone had saved him from the wolf's final attack.
He lie down exhausted from the battle that he had finally won,
But for him there was no pacing and he did not think it to have been fun.
His prize walked up to him and licked his wounds to heal,
He was glad that she got to see the way she made him feel.
