Garian Gryphon by Talonzi

Garian Gryphon

Model: Kaji Cadyrn

Garian Gryphons are one of the six species of Kelvian gryphons, though technically they are a subspecies of Radian Gryphon. The Garian Gryphon is only found in Garin where they have a close affiliation with the people of the Eastern Caverns. It's that typical sentient creatures forming bonds with humans thing. However, while Garian Gryphons do form a strong bond with one particular person, they are not "bound." They're BFFLs basically. Garian Gryphons can learn human languages but lack the vocal structures that enable perfect mimicry. They tend to roll a lot of Rs. Example: "Hrrey, yrrrou. Scraatchr underr mrry chrrin." Garian Gryphons like to act like they do not care, but if you even lift a finger against their human BFFL they will mess you up.

The Garian Gryphon at first glance is very similar to the Radian. However, due to their close affiliation with people, Garians have become much bigger in order to better carry humans [1]. They also do not have as many stripes as their Radian ancestors, but share the two feather fans. Lastly, Garian Gryphon wings are a bit narrower (modeled off Swainson's Hawk) as they tend to cover more distance per flight.

Endnotes
[1] Although a Garian Gryphon will form a strong bond with a human, said human should not assume that the gryphon will be willing to give them a ride. Most gryphons do enjoy sharing the gift of flight with that special human, but some do not. The beginning of the fall of the First Garian Monarchy is attributed to the king assuming gryphons could be ridden like any other "beast." His attempts to force a gryphon did not go over very well.

I was like "Do I draw all the coverts or just give a hint of them being there...I'm going to draw all the coverts"
