Barn Owl by Talonzi

Barn Owl

Talonzi

Barn Owls are a common owl in North America. During the nesting season (approx. 3 months) a single Barn Owl family can consume 1,000 rodents! Towns and farms take advantage of this by erecting Barn Owl boxes. Mostly free pest control!

For this illustration I wanted to draw a male because they look much more ghostly than the females. Females have more coloration and spots on their breast. This is my favorite next to the Red-tailed Hawk bookplate. Barn Owls are my favorite owl and they are so adorable and spunky I was glad to finally draw one!
