This was a small thing I did a while ago, and there was a little story behind it!

It is about a sentient skeleton who has always known existence, but not what its purpose was. Rather than seeking purpose, it simply studied the landscapes and creatures around it, and sharing its knowledge with those willing to listen.

It's not a bright creature on its own, lacking most instincts a living creature would have, instead gathering information from how others act.

This would make the skeleton a naive creature, unable to draw a line between right and wrong, and thus might share conflicting knowledge with others.

This picture was a scene idea in my head, about the undead being happening upon a bunch of pilgrims travelling along a dirt road, startling them.. But! After an exchange of words and weapons being lowered, the group's shaman would offer to paint the pentagram atop its skull, saying it would act as a way to keep out bad spirits and let others know it was a pure creature.

I make little stories like these for every picture I submit, but if there is one I spent the most amount of time dreaming about, it's probably this one :P
