“Oh, heh...I must’ve gotten caught on something. No big deal.” he chuckled. He pushed again.

Still no movement.

Metronome gulped and snickered nervously. “I-I surely must not be pushing hard enough...I-I swear the hole was big enough…” He pushed again, this time harder. He still couldn’t move. Metro tried to wriggle his hips around, but they were kept tightly in place by the walls of the hole. He was beginning to panic now.

“Ha ha, I-I j-just have to keep p-p-pushing, that’s all. It’ll l-loosen up ev-eventually!” He pushed even harder, causing him to grunt as he scraped the ground behind him with his feet. Soon, he gave up, panting hard. He was still in the same place. Metro swallowed hard at the realization.

He was stuck.

Metro bit his lip as he frantically tried to push himself out of the hole, becoming more and more desperate. His feet on the other side were practically digging into the ground. But the tight quarters of the small chasm kept him in place. He groaned loudly as he finally surrendered, his heart racing and his face hot and nearly red. He looked back and furrowed his eyebrows in frustration. Still stuck, he thought. His eyes began to sting with hot tears. Realizing that he was crying, he quickly wiped away the tears and rested his head in his hands.
