Disney's Animagic Initative: Little John by T3cht00lz

Disney's Animagic Initative: Little John

T3cht00lz

The start of a new project I'm working on sketching up to refire my creative juices.

Though it needs no further explanation, most everyone is aware through the 70s and up to the late 80s, Walt Disney Animation hit a low point following the passing of Walt which has come to be known as the Dark Age (or Bronze Age), and that has come to be home to plenty of movies that- although not quite as massive hits as the Golden Age classics or the Renaissance films that followed, have grown to be fondly remembered for generations nonetheless.

Instead of reimagining them in live-action (which modern Disney regretfully I know will- and some cases, already has- ended up doing), I'm deciding to give it an approach not unlike the Star Wars: Visions anthology series, theoretically passing them off to different anime studios to reimagine them with some new takes (some inspired by a couple familiar series' flairs).

Beginning this project is a redesign of Little John from the movie Robin Hood, as if he was given the remake treatment by the studio behind Beastars.

Hope you all enjoy, and I'll share some more going into the New Year.

Robin Hood and its characters (at least from the 1973 movie) are copyrighted by Disney, based of course off the legend of the same character. Beastars is created by Paru Itagaki, and produced in animated form by Studio Orange.
