Day 47

While a week long orbit around the majestic burning star Solar might be beautiful to some, for Fox in a cockpit not insulated from the raging heat, it felt like he was reliving some of the worst memories of flying near Solar in just an Arwing. He was cursing the fact this room he was in for 14 hours of a planetary day lacked any kind of air-conditioning, insulation, or ANYTHING the rest of the ship seemed to have. Speaking of that thought of over-heating or gaining weight, Fox was beginning to think he chose poorly in this twisted round of life’s game of “Would You Rather…”

Fox was relying mainly on Krystal to stay cool, given she wasn’t trapped in the sauna known as the cockpit. However, the thing that seemed to work best was super-frozen treats like ice cream, sodas, and slushies that could keep their cool even in the insufferable heat. This scenario of relying on super-cooled sweets was one Fox did not welcome willingly, for it was guaranteed to only make him fatter faster and yet...he felt like he may actually die from the heat if he didn’t take SOMETHING.

In the end he was NOT ready to suffer from heatstroke. Fox would take to these super-cooled treats for temporary relief, sparred by the two facts this stay was only temporary AND for 10 hours he was able to step back into properly insulated parts of the ship. Fox made up his mind that if there was one thing he would do differently on future cruises, it would be to install an Air Conditioner for the Captains Chambers.
