Philophobia

SwiftFeet

A quick picture I made yesterday. It in unfinished, but it was a nice way to release stress and I actually like how it looks so far! I doubt I will finish it sadly.

Maybe when summer starts I will finish it. :'D

Also mature filter just in case someone is bothered by this? I doubt anyone will. xD

wierd...then the word should be herophobia

            • Link

Odd. To tell you the truth I'm not very educated on phobias or the root words for them,so I'm not sure if I am even correct or not.

well, I'm Greek soo I figgure that the word comes from heros (deep love) or agapi (love) and then combines with "phobia". Now because there is a word Hero in english and I'm not sure if the ancient Greek word "eros" gets a "thasia" or "psili" (those two are called souls, they're a type of accent) on the "e" I'm not sure if it should be erophobia, herophobia or agapophobia

Odd :/ I'm unsure why it would be like that. Maybe who ever named the phobia miss translated it or something along those lines?

probably, I mean it's not like philia means love in ancient Greek, I'm learning ancient Greek you see and there was a text written by Polibius based on...Thukididus' (?) work on History and he talked all about friendship and he did use the word "philos" so yeah, probably it was a mistranslation
