Dr. Sonic the Hedgehog, hero of the planet Mobius, chief surgeon of Hedgehog Hospital, and lover of Dr. Sally Acorn, dressed in a blue-green Foxerly-Clark surgical gown, white Foxerly-Clark surgical gloves, a light blue-green Foxerly-Clark surgical cap which covered his ears and his quills, and is breathing in his white MoboTech MTN95CS-M/L-W cup-style disposable particulate surgical respirator mask over his nose and mouth, to protect his lungs from any harmful airbourne particles and nasty germs, Sonic's mask also keeps his muzzle warm. The respirator mask was Sally's idea and recommendation. Sonic took his lover's advice and starting wearing the similar mask as hers.

Sonic's respirator mask color is the exact color as the surgical mask he wore in the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog episode, "The Super Special Sonic Search & Smash Squad", when he disguises himself as a telephone repair man to steal Grounder's robo-comm phone after he and Tails created the dust storm to tape the tied up Scratch, Coconuts and Grounder in a cage, and the surgical mask he wore in the Archie Comics Sonic the Hedgehog comic book, "Let's Get Small", when Sally and the rest of his Freedom Fighter friends were infected by Dr. Robotnik's experimental virus and Rotor tied up a mask on his face to avoid being sick.
