I'd been hoping to have this done by Memorial Day, but it was a little trickier than I'd originally thought to do. But, here it is now.
For those unfamiliar with it, it is a picture of one version of the Missing Man Ceremony. In some mess halls/defacs/chow halls on bases, they have a table set that is very similar to this one. Such a table may also be set during a dining-in. One variation is a table set for six: one spot for each of the five U.S. military branches, and the sixth to represent civilians who have been killed while serving alongside the armed forces.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Missing_man_table Gives an overview of the table I have here, sans the Bible. I did not include the Bible because I know that not everyone believes in God, and not everyone, whether military member or family, is Christian. That is simply my view, nothing more.
