Publicly, Raccoon sent out several search parties to try to find the missing Grayson and Andie. When that failed he was visibly (and to every eye, sincerely) saddened.

Privately, he coughed up and carefully buried a multicolored furball and kept his mouth firmly shut on what had actually happened to then squirrels. It had been open earlier, mind you, but the only people that knew that were in no position to comment on the subject. It wasn't the first time this had happened, and if he anything to say about it it would not be the last.
