Some people take their car with them to the drive through diner. Others take their car with them when they're dinner.

I had this idea a couple of years ago, but my first sketch of Race had him having swallowed a large SUV and thjs bulge was just too boxy. Stuffing the family into a more or less VW beetle-shaped car helped make it work.

It also helps that Race is a cartoonish sort of pred who doesn't agonize over whether he can digest a phone booth full or people or a car with a family in it. He just eats it and lets it sort itself out. 83

The original idea to this dates back to my time in Alaska when I'd see people drive in from the boonies and pack their Suburban entirely full of food, toilet paper and whatnot. In Alaska you don't have to go very far from a town to run out of civilization and these packed Suburbans were like wheels on meals for sufficiently large predators.sufficiently large predators.
