The leopard seal Nuki the dolphin met seemed perfectly willing to be friends. Unfortunately, like many predators, the seal's "friendships" with creatures small enough to work his jaws over and foolish enough to let him get close lasted only as long as it took to digest them.

It's a harsh lesson that most creatures only get one chance to learn. In the sea, it's just safest to assume everyone you meet is going to try to eat you.
