This is a commission I've been eagerly waiting on, its a idea I've had in mind for well over a year now. I contacted Ermine about it and she was more than happy to create it for me, so without further ado here is the next chapter in the Northern Winds series.

"Midnight Lights"

With the advent of autumn there comes two important events amongst the village, the annual harvest and the celebration of Aurora's birth. Every birthday in the village is important as it brings a sense of community.

After the celebration has passed Storm and Aurora set out on a special trip he'd be planning for some time now. After traveling northwards for a few days they arrived at their destination, a forest clearing with a grand view of the heavens above. With the sun setting far off in the distance and the darkness of night encroaching the skies came alive.

Bursts of light appearing and disappearing across the heavens, shades of green, yellow, and the occasional shade of blue flashing into sight. Underneath a tree in the clearing Storm tenderly wrapped his arms around his mate whom had a tears of joy rolling down her cheek. In that moment she was truly happy, her loving mate giving her a gift she would never forget. The sight of the northern lights for which she was named after.
