My German Shepherd Dog, Shadow, who I had for 9 years since he was a puppy at 3 months old, unfortunately passed away the day after Christmas this year, on December 26, 2016 from spleen and liver cancer, who I tried to save with surgery, but unfortunately was far worse than anticipated... His cancer was completely unknown to me until he started to act strange the morning after Christmas. It's been really hard for me to cope with his loss, as he meant everything to me, he was my first and only dog, he was with me my entire adult life, and with me over 1/3rd of my entire life. I love him very much I'll always miss him, he made such an important impact in my life, and I'll always remember him.

This was a gift that both mith and kierish: got for me as a gift, to help cheer me up, cuddling with my Shadow. It was so sweet and thoughtful of them to commission this for me, and it really means a lot to me.
