Ah I see what you mean :3 I was debating whether or not to put a slight fade in but I see I'm not the only one thinking that so maybe I'll experiment and see! Thank you!

This is quite a wonderful mix for color pencils. Composition-wise the single feather a top slightly pushes the character into an off-center orientation. It keeps him being directly in the center of the work. The way that you've blended the colors together is quite lovely. It has this sort of soft mix and mesh of colors together.
I feel like the space in the background could benefit from a little bit more activation. Maybe bits and pieces of outlined/sketched feathers of different values fading in and out of the background.
