Today we made the difficult decision to return our captive slaughterdragon to the wild. Transporting her was certainly not an inexpensive venture given her considerable bulk, but it was a worthwhile investment to return this specimen to a setting more suitable for her natural demeanour.
It is clear to me now that a creature of such wild aspect could never be expected to adjust to a life of indulgent relaxation, and that her maladaptive overeating behaviour was merely a reaction to the constraints of confinement rather than some shameful exhibition of greed. A ferocious spirit such as hers could surely never be tamed by the temptations of an easy life, and I do not doubt that, relishing in her freedom once more, she has returned eagerly to the hunt, her memories of captivity already fading.
