Another drawing of Lyre that I did for a contest over on dA.
All I could think of was Lyre going for a dip. There are supposed to be other horses in the background, but I gave up and said done. I will probably go back and add them. Or I won't. Don't want to make this look too busy :'D
Thanks to everyone on stream who say with me while I figured out how to do most of the background! Definitely learned some new things while trying to get the seaweed right.

Kelp was actually kinda simple. I picked a few different colors and then drew thick squiggles in alternating colors. Some of them overlapped and other varied in height/size. When I finished I used a multiply layer to darker the bottom portion of all of them (and the picture as a whole). A screen or luminosity layer to add a few lights. Then I threw a normal layer on the very top and color-picked a color to draw a few more strands. Hope that helps!
