Oh my. I just rediscovered some old dinosaur books for kids/olderkids/youngish adults from the late 80s...
The ILLUSTRATIONS... They are so bad they're great.... They are so terrible. XD I am crying.
They're shrinkwrapped dinos... There are "dinosaurs" in the glossary of dinosaurs that are not dinosaurs at all (but primitive archosaurs)... and some of the illustrations are completely mislabeled... Like "Stegoceras"... a pachycephalosaur... which looks suspiciously like a 5 year old's drawing of a planking T-Rex. XD
is laughing so hard is crying
Starting from the top of the little pile of 80s dinosaur materials... "The Colossal Book of Dinosaurs"--Written by David White and "illustrated" by Pam Mara... Except that some of the "story sections" are written by Rupert Oliver and illustrated (and the illustrations are, for their time, really really great! :D) by Roger Payne. Unfortunately... only the story about Deinonychus was put to them... everything else is... awful... ;_;
Enjoy the first episode, where the cover and the first two pages of the Albertasaurus story are examined... Hoo boy.
