Cryolophosaurus in Almost-Spring

SpiderMilkshake

Cryolophosaurus, another of my favorite polar-region dinosaurs, is an abelisaur like Carnotaurus and Giganotosaurus, with an unusual pair of crests on its head, one along the bridge of the snout and the other that curly-coo thingie on top. They have been found in Antarctica so far, possibly were Australian as well.

I like to think of them as quite polar-bear like, staying on the ice and blending in, hunting land-dwelling dinosaurs opportunistically and probably aquatic life from the shores when the ice shelves grew out in the polar winters. Wouldn't that be neat if that were proven in fossils? A fossilized Cryo, next to a nommed-on fossilized giant turtle or marine reptile??? That would be awesome. :)
