*A faint rumble shook the ground. Vendell shot a glance around, then back toward the ceiling as a brick tumbled loose and crashed to the ground breaking the silence. Baator responded quietly to Calibus as he looked up at the blood splashed statue of the elegant eltiger goddess, hands above her head holding a chalice.* “Systren is the avenger…her wrath…is limitless.” *Another rumble as the crystal above the room winked an iridescent purple and black. Dust rained down as Vendell aimed her bow slowly past the altar, Wolvbane held great sword in both paws and Baator angled his round shield, war hammer bobbing in the other. Vendell called out,* “We need to leave!” *From the smashed doorways, a pair of black figures emerged, snarling beast like moving shadow and smoke. Bared fangs glowed like heated steel. Heather crawled backwards slowly, blood smeared robes.* “Systren…” *The room shook harder and more stones fell.* “Be merciful!”
