Hydro dip attempts! by Spark908

Hydro dip attempts!

Spark908

Behold the wide variety of results I obtained with hydro dipping yesterday! I'm not doing this in ideal conditions..(in snow XD) It requires hot water.. Which one do you all like best?! Leave in the comments!!

The reason for the wide difference is everything from the angle you dip your piece into, to how long the paint sits on top of the water, but most importantly, how much Hydrographic activator you use. That fancy stuff liquefies the dye in the paint that is sprayed on top of the water before you dip the wood inside of it. Depending on how even of a coat you use and how much you use, you can get results that are astounding, or, just barely anything on the wood like one of my attempts here. It's a balance I'm having to find, but I can't wait to get this down. I have a picture in my head about how amazing this will look once I get it down.. Just have to do some repetition to get an innate feel for the process...
