Multicolor Spark! by Spark908

Multicolor Spark!

Spark908

Each one of these basically takes a whole day to do! They're getting a bit easier though! Whereas before, I had to open the code for the 3d printer and manually add every color change and pause to swap out filaments, I was able to research and find a 3d printer slicer (Prusaslicer) that is competent when it comes to adding a "Switch extruder at layer" which eliminated a LOT of the manual code editing for these things! I still have to go into the code and add a pause code to swap filaments, but that's only every two colors as I have a dual extruder for this type of stuff!

The color scheme did not come out exaactly how I want, but that's to be expected. I was going for a soft pink Spark with some Cyan highlights. I don't have much experience in determining exactly what rgb/saturation/hue value my filaments have, along with the transmission distance of light running through the filament. Fine tune those, and I'm sure I'll have better results with this sort of stuff before long!

There is an automated tool you can buy to automatically read the color and transmission value, but it's $60, I'll save that for later!
