Coffee bean ring!! by Spark908

Coffee bean ring!!

Spark908

A while back, I decided to make some rings using my resin printer to play around with those super high resolution 3d prints! This is one of my favorites from the batch of rings I did(This was before I had the thought that maybe it wasn't the best idea to have toxic resin, even if cured, on my hands XD) this little coffee bean ring came out great! In the future I think I'll be using an epoxy finish on rings at the very least, or using the 3d prints to make molds and cast metal into those, finally obtaining real metal jewelry all from home! I have so many avenues I want to pursue, but never enough time. If I could have it my way, I'd be home all the time, hammering out one project to the next. Trust me I have enough to keep my adhd monkey occupied for monnnnths XD

This design was made in blender using a photograph of coffee beans mapped onto a curved taurus using a displace modifier. The location of displacement was determined by a vertex group to keep the inside of the ring smooth on your finger!
