A Unicorn who lived with her twin sister in a village that was mainly populated by earth ponies. Any unicorn or pegasi was discriminated against for simply being different.

The unicorns were feared for their magic and what they could be capable of, the unicorns were banned from attending schools and libraries without a legal (earth pony) guardian to "prevent them from going rouge"

Pegasus were often harassed. Had rocks or other objects thrown at them during flight. Some would get ganged on and get their feathers torn apart, leaving them flightless.

Ashmia was often bullied as a foal, the bullying would get so bad her horn almost broke off completely!
She would spend her days inside her home or hide in libraries, studying magic and learning how to use it herself. At first, she learned spells to protect herself and her sister. Then, she'd learn offensive and defensive spells to attack only if provoked.

As Ashmia grew older, she learned more and practiced more. Growing more and more powerful by the book. And with that, she also grew cold. Growing hatred towards those who've hurt her, her sister, and her friends. Wanting nothing more than revenge.

One day, that's when she struck.
using all that she's learned, and using it against those who've wronged her. destroying every bit of land there was, hurting those who've hurt her, and those who haven't.

After her rain was over, every pegasai and unicorn in the village feared her. They wanted nothing to do with the ash twins, thus, running away from them.

Realizing what she's done, Ashmia couldn't take back what was already done. She left the mess, and now lives with her sister in the darkest parts of the everfree forest. Forever filled with regret and emptiness.

Ashmia is a mute by choice.
She continues her studies with learning new and old forms of magic, practicing it to use for research purposes only.

She didn't know anything about genuine kindness till she met Princess Solaris and Sir. Steelhoof. Journeying with them to far away lands and to protect the young foal from her fathers rain.

Ashmia won't attack unless provoked, but due to her lack of patience, she's somewhat of a ticking timebomb. She spends most of her time ether studying/practing magic or with her sister
