The sarind are roughly based on the Lizard Folk from the Bestiary. However, they are fully capable of breathing underwater and have very little sexual dimorphism. Most species simply cannot tell a male from a female, and the Sarind themselves have no real distinction between the sexes in terms of social structure. They may or may not be one of the oldest races, but what IS certain is that they never started to build a civilization until the last thousand years. In the World of Anuris, that's pretty recent.
