I had the chance to commission Jordan Kotzebue and wanted to share the awesome result!

Jordan's an artist I've looked up to for most of my life thanks to his work on Sly Cooper and Tornado Outbreak, both games that I hold near and dear to my heart. 
His style has inspired my own in a lot of ways and when I finally worked up the nerve to reach out and inquire about a commission I was ecstatic when he said yes. 

Growing up I used to think professional artists were completely and totally out of my reach, essentially unattainable figures with skill levels I could never match. Now that I'm older, and became a professional artist myself, I know they're just regular ol' people. 


Still, I have to wonder what my younger self would think- the kid that would hold up pieces of paper to their old CRT screen Magnavox in a shoddy attempt to draw over paused cartoons, the kid that would carry around a clipboard of printer paper in school so they could draw while standing in the lunchline, the kid that was so desperate to draw they wound up nearly suspended from school because they'd rather doodle than pay attention in class.

To know, all these years later, their dumb little scribbly Tornado Outbreak fancharacter survived long enough to be drawn by the artist who helped bring the game to life in the first place.

Not to be emotionally soggy but it's pretty cool.
