what apps are more recommend for making games? i have heard that game maker is a popular game creating app, but idk if you use that app or a different one

I use Game Maker Studio 2, it's pretty great. The free version lets you do everything, you just need to pay the subscription for the month you want to export (unless you're me, who bought a permanent license back when they still did those).

i see. also i see a friend who have gm studio 2 and gm8 and used studio 2 for exporting into gx games and gm8 for exporting into pc

GMS2 can only export to gx games if you have the free version, but can export elsewhere based on your subscription. At this point GMS2 and GM8 are so wildly different with the tools you have at your disposal (especially with Structs, Functions, Constructors, etc), I cannot recommend GM8 at all by now. Especially since to export, you just need an active sub during that time (so if you plan on making it one and done, you just pay the sub one time and export everything you want within that month).
