"the BUSHMAN"
The bushman is a legendary monster that is most often used as a bogeyman substitute - to make children behave by scaring them. They tell the children that if they wander from their beds at night a monster with a terrible grin and long arms will peek in the doorway at night and snatch them up - to eat them.
In reality, the bushman is a monster that feeds on humans. The movements of his body are so unnatural and jerky they tend to paralyze the victim with fright. He then uses his huge hands (which can easily reach around the torso of a fully grown man) to shove the prey down his throat. The human is swallowed whole, and dies of asphyxiation in the bushman's elongated throat.

The bushman's physical appearance changes based on the culture who tells of his existence, but the essential character traits remain the same. He has the head of a mandrill, the neck of a monstrous snake, and the body of a mutated human. The ribcage is large, the skin is flabby and stretchy, and spry hairs sprout randomly from his flesh. His body is propelled on all fours by elongated human limbs, his neck hanging mere inches off the ground, snaking its way along. It has been said that he can climb on walls and ceilings as well. No one really knows of his true origin, be it a natural creature, extraterrestrial, or demon.

Some people call him the Smiling Demon based on his facial appearance. A friendly monkey's face that will transform into a menacing beast when it's maw opens wide. The jaw can stretch further than what seems possible with the throat incredibly rubbery to be able to accommodate even the largest of humans.
