End of a Hard Day's Work (critique requested)

SlippingStar

ORIGINALLY POSTED IN 2012

Finished version of this. YES, THIS DUMBASS PUTS THAT MUCH EFFORT INTO THUMBNAILS. It comes from never using thumbnails before. This is shinier than silver, with all the material that's on it. I WILL NEVER WORK THIS BIG AGAIN. Not with color pencil, anyhow.

You're supposed to get the feel of a cowboy ending his work day. As that is the main idea behind it, it's conceptual. But it also a still life and a scenery, so meh. I augmented the lighting for the setting, because I don't live in a desert with this nice of a sunset. Several Google image results were used as references for the sunset, but none directly.

Prisma on 16"x20" illustration board.
