Killer Combo

Skunkworks

A speed pen sketch, drawn in about 55 minutes from a blank sheet of paper to the final pen stroke. Usually, I rely on small thumbnail sketches for constructing a drawing, but I wanted to get back into the groove of using a pen again and thought this would be a good piece to practice with.

Drawn with no references, viewpoints, perspective lines or understudies. The red pencil sketch took perhaps 2 minutes to churn out; it can still be seen in certain areas. This image is a spin on the "toy Christine" image posted earlier. It features a teen Penance, complete with era-specific hair and clothing (with the Cerberus poodle skirt, too) and the ever-popular Christine, a 1958 Plymouth Fury. EVERYONE knows who Christine is, even newborns.

If this was to be an actual completed picture, it would be redrawn, using this image as a reference. A horizon line, perspective points and vehicle references would be used for that (not to mention a ruler!). Posted here because it's got a car in it.
