Another one in the series! It buries itself in the sand, leaving its back exposed. It then excretes a smell not unlike a rotting carcass to attract scavengers, which it then eats.

They remind me of leopard geckos, though I imagine they'd be larger if they were eating scavengers. Nice design!

Yes! My friend this was inspired by has 3 of them. These guys grow to about 4 feet, if I remember correctly. Sometimes they attract stuff too big for them and they put on a display and turn up the smell to try to scare them away.
