Peaches

sixrabbits

Peaches is my buddy.

Today when I was cleaning their tank, Peaches fell on her back and made a big fuss trying to flip herself over. So I picked her up and let her crawl on my hand for a while. She's so cute, and her little feet tickle.

Peaches is my pet! I do not appreciate negative comments about her just because you don't like roaches. Click the Back button if it bothers you that much!

I used to keep dubias :D Peaches is very lovely, especially with the markings on her head. Looks like a butterfly. X3

It kind of does look like a butterfly.
Dubias are amusing pets... especially when you have a clumsy one like Peaches.

The only roach I'll ever think is adorbs. I kinda want one now after seeing this

Dubias are great! No stink (unless their food gets nasty) no noise, pretty much content at room temp if you pile some blankets around the "tank" when it's cold... oh yeah, and their tank is a plastic storage bin with holes drilled in it.

        Sounds easy enough.

Fairly. There's plenty of guides on caring for them, as they are very popular as feeders for other animals.

            Feeders?

            • Link

Yes. Most people (myself included) keep and breed Dubias to feed their other pets. In my case it was a centipede (but she passed away recently)... my tarantula doesn't seem to like them, so now they are just pets.
I know a lot of people that have lizards keep these guys as a constant food source.

Ah I see. I might get a snake… Defanged of course because I'm kind of scared of them.

Do not get a snake that has been defanged. That is a cruel mutilation!
If you are afraid of snakes, or getting bit, don't get a snake.
Snakes require a lot of love and commitment, they have very specific needs. UV lights (without UV they develop metabolic bone disease and other problems)
If you are going to get ANY kind of reptile, do a ton of research.
