I’ve seen a few of these floating around (most notably the ones by Vintertid and Hybridance on dA ), and decided to make one for Meredith because, well, my dumb zombie nerd. I should have chosen a character who changed more along the years… Meredith started out as a soft-faced nerd and ended up soft-faced dead nerd…

At five years old he was a tiny hamster-cheeked child who was never allowed to go out play with other children (so he wouldn’t hurt himself)

At thirteen he was pretty much already on his way to chronic depression. At this point he didn’t even want to go out and spend time with other kids. Spends most of his time studying and and being taught by his gifted mage mother.

At twenty he’d grown sideburns in a desperate attempt to look a bit less baby-faced than he is. Extremely introverted, shy and depressed he spent most of his side in-doors surrounded by books and cats, and taking care of his ailing mother.

When he was ~twenty-three the Cataclysm hit, his mother died soon after and Meredith, out of desperation finally managed to kill himself, only to be found dying and being resurrected by the Forsaken. He was decidedly… off for the first few weeks of his resurrection, and he was self-confident and brash for the first time of his, er, life. Slicks his hair back to look more mature. And evil.

Later on he pretty much regained his pre-death personality and became the same nerd he had always been, plagued with poor self-confidence and depression. Also loses his eye to a worgen patrol in Silverpine forest. (This is where he is character development and design wise)

Even later on he will hopefully to be able to work through his insecurities and will eventually end up at least somewhat balanced and content. As content and someone dead can be, at least.
