Anyway yeah. Uniforms. I thought A LOT about this, because I originally didn’t really want to go with gender-specific uniforms but… it just felt wrong to have unisex uniforms. Sometimes you just have to do what feels right for the setting. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Despite the somewhat militaristic design of their uniforms they’re actually based off on my country’s police who, like, fire firearms about six times a year. And have killed 3 people in ten years. So yeah.

One of the main characters in the story is a police officer, too.

Siblings Lotta & Lauri Häyhä, both pretty high up in hierarchy. While the story of “Eden” happens in the city of “Eden”, which is mostly (but by no means only or exclusively) somewhat Central European flavored when it comes to design and climate, Lotta and her borther Lauri are both “northfolk”, which is… pretty much fantasy counterpart Finland turned up to eleven.
