Dungeons and ...Dogs by SiriusDF

Dungeons and ...Dogs

Cue the opening chords of the theme music for King Author by Hans Zimmer. An imposing, sonorous voice narrates:

Many are the stories regarding The Forgotten Ages. When dogs of legend roamed the world and great journeys were undertaken. On an auspicious day, the call went out for canines of integrity to journey far into the deserts of red rock and canyon. The Call was answered by The Three. Three Great Heroes.

Stubby Butt of the Aussie Shepherd Clan; a tricolored merle berserker shrill of bark.

Second was The Herder; a black and white femme fatale of a border collie bred in the borderlands of Cambria. Master of eye and jaw coordination with skills in herding second to none.

And their leader; A blue merle herding canine. A Paladin of courage and unbridled ferocity. Priestess of the Sacred Temple of Penn. Undefeated in battle with the motto: Let no sphere fall into the jaws of other dogs!

They begin their epic quest to the sacred spring said to burst forth from a rocky headland underneath a sky of stone arches. And to the spoils of treasure. Sticks and tennis balls.

I've often wondered if somewhere in DeSitter space; there's an alternate universe Where the Wizards Of The Coast had named their epic RPG game Dungeons and Dogs.

Man, this is cool, I should start writing mini-epics for all my submissions.

I'm sure there's a parallel universe where D&D involves canines, though I reckon it was TSR who chose this name for the game.
