Since she was a teen, Teresa Pas dreamed of making a large Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope from scratch. After two career changes, going back to Grad school, perseverance and having just turned Thirty; the polished Schmidt corrector plate was taken off of an optical test bench.

Held up to the light, that oft determined twist in her lips relaxed for the first time in a long while. Tail wagging, she smiled. Quietly quoting an outro from a Spock's Beard song she listened to as a pup.
