When I started with acrylic it seemed this wasn't going to work out at all and I was prepared to do another one, but then it turned out much better than I expected.

Watercolours are actually the medium I use most for colouring. This was the first time in quite some time that I used acrylics (other than black at least).

OK, then you need to treat your Acrylics more like you do your watercolors except don't be afraid to do wet washes over areas once they are dry (a few minutes usualy) This will allow you more subtle and deeper colors! :)

Have you used watercolors? Arcylics can be used much like that, only more easily controled! Remember with Acrylics you can do washes of thin color to get great effects!
