Quell left for work in the morning telling her younger sister one thing, “Make sure you clean up after the kids.” She knew she shouldn’t have gotten her hopes up for it to get done, but she did. She got home and there her sister was, laying on the couch, completely unconscious. She sighed, and started trying to get Alyx off the couch.
“Come on, I asked you to do one thing” she sighed, pulling the blanket her sister curled up in.
“Whaaaaaaa…….” Alyx groaned as her sister took her cover away. She looked up at Quell, slightly annoyed. “Whaaatt? I’m just taking a nap before I clean the house up….”
“You had 8 hours. What did you do all day?” Quell replied, lifting her sister up, “This room looks worse than before!”
“Look, work was rough yesterday and I needed a break, I told you I’d get to it.” Alyx mumbled, still half awake. “Can you set me down?” Quell set Alyx down and then started picking up some toys. Alyx joined her, mostly cleaning up her own mess. After about 15 minutes the house was spotless. Quell gave Alyx a look that said “Was that so hard?” Alyx smiled back at her.
“Alright I have to go get the kids from school and daycare, don’t trash the place while I’m gone.” Quell said, taking the keys out of her pocket.
“You can count on me” Alyx said, returning to her spot on the couch.
