General rule of thumb never ever follow your friend the bull whose a paladin into that "innocent" looking field. Things happen, bad things happen! This was taken from an old scene with a group of friends I used to play D&D with, I changed the characters to the ones shown save for the bull, he was my friend main character a paladin whose knack for getting us into trouble was renown.

So here we have a bull, a bear, and Trasull my own gnoll character being eaten by some pods. How they work is tentacles come out and drag you to the pods there the victims are slowly devoured as shown. In the game they only managed to gut us to our chest before we were rescued. Here I took it a bit further and instead of being eaten well let's just say the pods do feed off from their victims....
