Checkers is a demonic fox entity who likes to trick wandering passerby into giving him the most valuable item on their person. It could be jewelry, or a piece of clothing of some form. By doing this the individual unknowingly 'sells' themselves to him, as in becomes a potential slave. However, the fox sees no need for slaves or servants.. For his little spell is all a ploy in order for him to gain an easy meal.
