Monster Kitsune

"It was a dark night. The air, burning with the heat from the lava, was eerily still and frighteningly quiet. I took a sharp breath. By the light of the lightning I saw it. A monster. A demon whose aura struck me and left me breathless. I was terrified! I couldn't move or run. My body was heavy.

The monster came down by me, its red eyes piercing deep into my soul. I couldn't fight its gaze. It stares down upon me and gave a deep growl. It's teeth were long and sharp. The horns on its head were intimidating. At last it spoke, but the voice that came out of it was not one of a monster.

'What brings you here to this land, human?' A maiden voice spoke with a deep snarl. The maiden voice was rough and sharp, yet almost gentle in a way.

'I've come by mistake. I didn't mean to come here!' I scrambled for words. I trembled as the beast stepped closer, its nine tail flicking eagerly behind it.

'By mistake? Fool. A mistake that will cost you' she snarled.

'Please! I beg of you not to hurt me! I'll do anything you want! Please spare me!' I cried. On my knees, I begged the beast to spare my life. She drew closer and closer until, at last, she stood over me.

'Anything?' She inquired, 'You know not of what you speak. You're throwing your own life away for what? To be spared? HAHA! Name your price. I'm interested in what you have to offer.'

'I... I... I'll give you money. Weapons? Power? Just please spare my life' I pleaded longingly.

With one swift motion, the monster jumped on top of me with teeth bared and mouth drooling. As the spittle hit my cheek and clothes, it fizzled and hissed as it burned through flesh and fabric. I winced and began to cry. The smell of burning flesh was nauseating. I felt sick! The beast sniffed my body and made a snarky laugh as she opened her mouth wide.

'NO!' I cried out, but alas, it was too late. The beast devoured me bones and all, leaving nothing--not even a drop of blood left of me."
