So, this is Tempest's new, updated design! This was a bit of an experimental piece in terms of coloring; I set all of the color layers on multiply, and added a brown filter over the scanned in sketch later. I'm really quite pleased with how it came out, despite some of the issues with lighting/shading.

"Where will you go," they ask even as he turns away from the Dales with their unfamiliar green, the snows melted and the sprites gone. It isn't home any longer; he turns towards the wildlands instead, red eyes resolute and the moon pendant glowing comfortingly at his neck.

"I'll find Arri," he says, as he's answered in every life, when he stands new and bright and she isn't at his side. "The sun will rise, and twilight will end, and we'll find peace," he adds, his voice quiet and filled with longing. He misses the stars, the secret places between them where a couple of old gods could rest. After all of this, he thinks, they'll have earned peace, and surely the stars won't begrudge them a space to rest, once again.

Just as soon as they're together again.
