The Twilight Tempest Maya Grant, a renown mage back in her hey-day, is an Egyptian jackal retired from a life of adventure. She now works as an alchemist in the field of researching and gathering materials for potions with her sister. While Maya focuses on potions and spells with more explosive possibilities, her sister deals with matters of medicinal means.

She lives on a large estate with her three kids, and her sister and her daughter. The husband is away on business on occasion exploring new lands and still looking for the next adventure.
