Seems Aristide's been caught up in a trap or simply touched something he shouldn't have. Either way, he's been gracefully 'rewarded' with becoming a drone and helping out this peculiar facility, he even seems able to walk on walls and cellings, which can come in handy for getting the drop on other soon-to-be drones, like anyone else wandering in out of curiosity.
