ShePaintsWithBlood

This painting features a repeating creature of late, my Shadoes (also nicknamed "Thornbucks" They can be either male or female though once upon a time hunters believed that they were all does.

It was said that in order to protect his females, a thornbuck would place a spell on them, turning them to liquid shadow that could slip in and out of trees, using them as portals from one world to the next, thus keeping them safe from harm as these creatures are greatly prized hunting trophies. However, it was later learned that Thornbucks themselves were of the same liquid shadow but the name "Shadoe" was never changed and is used to refer to both the males and females of the species.

Time: 6 + hours

Tools: Pencil sketch in homeade sketchbook of watercolour paper, watercolor, pigments and gel pen.

Reference: None.

This drawing and Shadoes/thornbucks are copyright Aria Keehn 2012 ShePaintsWithBlood (me) Thank you for looking, much love!
