A redux design piece of Lupin in the RWBY world, alongside her weapon being redesigned as well. In RWBY fashion, her weapon has several modes that can be utilized in battle against Grimm!

Sword: As seen here, it’s a bit of a big sword. Bit hard to miss that obviousness. Its main purpose is for the slash and hack aspect of things, when combat is up close and personal. Lupin is quite flexible and powerful in terms of swinging it around, although she does depend more upon redirection than total brute force to take down larger, heavier, and often enough more powerful enemies.

Compound Bow: The gears imbedded between the handle and the blade are used as the cams, while the blade itself breaks down to create the limbs of the bow, and the handle of the sword becomes part of the grip. The cables line the inner center of the sword, beneath the open gap, while the stabilizers and bow sight come from the hilt, same as the cams. Arrows depend upon design and function Lupin may need of them, although she uses Dust as the main source of power ups. All arrows are, of course, hand-made by Lupin herself, and in a pinch, she’ll resort to using normal arrows if she has nothing else.

Her weapon is named Blue Blaze.

Lupin also pairs up with a set of greaves that double as shotguns near the heel of her feet. In typical fashion of the RWBY world, they are used for both offensive purposes as well as mobility, although the latter tends to be the larger form of use. Dust power ups help heap on the pain when she goes for the former, however. The greaves are named Shock and Awe.

As evidenced by her appearance, Lupin is a wolf faunus, but instead of hiding what she was, she embraced it. She doesn’t exactly support or condone the White Fang, but neither did she oppose it—not until they began their more radical attacks against the population while under Adam Taurus’ leadership. Lupin is an experienced Huntress, and is older than she looks. She is not a teacher at any academy and prefers to hire out her services to legitimate sources. Her pride on executing a good job against Grimm attacks wouldn’t allow her to be hired out like a crook to disreputable and questionable people. As to where exactly Lupin hails from, she hasn’t ever told anyone and very few people whom she grew up or worked with are mostly dead and gone or on the move to avoid Grimm attacks.

Her full name is Lupin Marigold Ferus, to keep in line with the colour-code naming—although Lupin won’t ever reveal her middle name to anyone. She’s a bit embarrassed about it. Only a select few are on a first-name basis with her, and the rest are left with calling her Ferus. She trained at Beacon Academy.
