a land speed record car that supposedly set a top speed in 1980 that broke the sound barrier, though according to my research, it had been said at first that it can't be confirmed, there has been much dispute back then after it's 1980 run about the car breaking the sound barrier, while witnesses claim it did saying they heard a sonic boom, officials don't believe otherwise and even the air force has made a claim stating that it did when they recorded the car's speed stating that it was traveling at over 739.666 miles per hour (or mach 1.01), however the data collected by the Air Force can't be released.
