~High in the eastern mountains dragons ruled the highest peeks. Only two roamed the range this season, a mated pair, now bonded by wing and heart. The large drake colored of the richest emerald, claws as sharp as blades, his mane colored to that of storm clouds. The dragoness was of the odd furred ones. Slender and deadly despite her lack of scales. She wore an amulet of power of which many magic casters coveted. Her pelt a rich amythest and wings that matched the night sky.
The pair lay on the cliff, resting in the morning winds. The green drake nuzzles his mate just above her muzzle and purrs deep in his chest. The dragoness purrs in return and flutters her wings. A chuckle like sound escapes the drake as the dragoness plots out her chest a bit. These are the sky high rulers.~
