Factory

ShadowCheetah

A while back, I went with some friends and explored this abandoned factory that had been hit by a fire quite a while ago. It was full of graffiti, crumbling walls, giant broken down machines, rattling catwalks, harsh shadows cast by fans kept going by the wind, and lots and lots of dust and ashes. There were even a few pages of records that survived which were dated like forty years ago. Lots of history in there.

One particularly interesting corridor looked like something right out of Star Wars. It was probably used as a movie set at one point because the pipes didn't actually connect anything.

Anyway, I have a hard time enjoying myself while using a camera because I find myself trying to take everything and squash it into a neat little postcard-like package, which tends to take away from the experience of the now, if that makes any sense. So, while there was a lot of really neat stuff there, this was the only photo I took, while we were leaving, as an afterthought.
